Manisha’s expertise aligns with the UoA research strategy, addressing the challenge of health and well‐being, and the School of Pharmacy’s research theme of ‘Drug Delivery Systems’. Her research is mainly focussed on enhancing patient related outcomes by resolving clinical problems through drug formulation, delivery science and diagnostic method development.

Manisha graduated from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, India in 2002. She pursued a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India from 2004-2008. Thereafter, she relocated to New Zealand and took up a position as teaching fellow in the Department of Pharmacology, and as a research fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Otago, Dunedin, NZ from 2009 -2011.
