Development of an ultrasound-responsive implant to treat spinal cord injury
Spinal cord injury is devastating and presently incurable. Treatment outcomes of the injury may be improved by creating a drug eluting implant that can be placed near the spinal cord and release its cargo when required. In this project, we are developing an ultrasound-responsive implant and exploring its effectiveness in a cell-based model of spinal cord injury.
