Joseph Chen was one of the 13 top postgraduate students who took on the challenge of sharing their research to a general audience in three minutes, with nothing but a single static slide, as part of the 2021 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Joseph’s presentation captured the heart of the audience, taking out the People’s Choice Award for his research on New Zealand’s lacking mental health system. His research surrounds identifying better ways to understand and treat depression.
